What is internal recruitment?
Internal recruitment involves the selection of candidates for available positions in the company by selecting the best applicants from among existing employees. In this case, recruiters save their time as the stages of recruitment are reduced and resources are spent only on assessing employees and their current performance, potential, and competencies.
In order to advance an employee up the career ladder several methods are used: Performance Review evaluation, the creation of a pool of employees with high performance records (an n-box matrix is often used), and external assessment with in-depth interviews or systematic selection among employees with complex indices corresponding to the vacancy.
